Nothing soppy about this! Just a good piece showing how much we love our animals. I'm 43 and never had cats until my wife and I adopted two cats two years ago. The one is already around 12 years old, the other one around 3 years. Can't bare the thought of the older one passing away one day!
Bro, I'm literally shedding tears here. I, like you love my girls more than life itself and I dread the day I have to say goodbye. They are 13 years old now, and though they are in good health, I know there probably isn't much time left. I think about it every day, and it kills me every time.
She will be waiting for you at the rainbow 🌈 bridge one day. Take time to grieve & celebrate her life. Life is very short.... make the most of it. It will get easier as time goes on but you will never forget. Take care.
As a fellow dog owner, I know the pain you must be going through - they truly do make the deepest of impacts on our lives. This post was clearly very meaningful, and I hope you’re holding up well.
It's important that you write and share, a way of healing too. I had to let our loving Lab go, same story with arthritic pain, so feel for you guys. We did get a loving worsie after that that shared 10 wonderful years (5 were in wheels) and broke my heart when he passed from kidney failure. My point, I wouldn't change it / have it any other way, the time we did share (16 yrs and 10 yrs) were amazing fur babies. Thanks for sharing your story
I'm a very soppy old man, easily moved to tears and your tender story did just that. Bless you - you're a good (and, I suspect, equally soppy but much younger) man.

To most animal lovers this is by no means a soppy post and does not need your apologies. Thanks for sharing.

All animals are awesome, but as a fellow dog lover I got serious "Marley and Me" vibes. Damn but it hurts when they leave!
Very sorry Byron.
So sorry for your loss of Rosie. ❤️
